Read this article this morning on DailyMakeover.com & it's great skin care advice! I dissected it and I think you should too. Enjoy!
Alas, I am a slave to my own vanity. Once described as Classic with a Twist, my obsession with 1960's silouettes & poise consummated with my edgy rock & roll approach to everyday life result in this scorching hot beautiful mess. I'll try anything once, twice if I like it. Welcome to my avid love affair with what I most admire, the items in my closet & the treasures on my vanity.

OOTD: Spa attire
Ecstatic that we are able to wear full black at work now. The uniforms before were heinous. Luckily, throughout my ten years in the professional world, I have accumulated tons of dresses- with black being the favored color. I picked up seven dresses from my storage unit and left them at work. I'll be all about that LBD life. Here's the first.

#Rave: Express Yourself Bracelet
The best thing since Pandora. Honestly. I love personalizable accessories so I was thrilled to have a personalized bracelet for such an inexpensive price made at my local Icing store. The bracelet is $3.50 USD & the charms are 5 for $5 USD (or $1.50 USD). The quality of the actual bracelet isn't that great but with that price, you can just opt for another one. Options include white strap with silver detail, white strap with gold detail, black strap with silver detail (below) and black strap with gold detail.

IWant: fangirl moment
Ok I am a cult follower of The Walking Dead so when I walked into Hot Topic this morning and saw this shirt (below) I completely freaked out. I refuse to wear a fangirl shirt unless it's flattering. It's a scoop neck tunic like shirt. The evolution of the t-shirt is headed in great places. This is absolutely awesome. I'm buying this. No question in my mind. I support the Ricktatorship.

Review: Formula X for Sephora Xplosives
I was absolutely thrilled with I saw this in my local Sephora. Formula X made a grafitti splatter effect topcoat that looks amazing. I decided to try it out (in Chaotic) because I was curious to see whether this would work or present challenges. Ads don't give you that type of information. I also decided to try it without base color to see if it would be sufficient alone.
Applying this was as follows:
First coat: wow, this would look great with another coat.
Second coat. This looks awesome! But some of these sequins aren't laying flat. Maybe another coat would fix this.
Third coat: ughhh these straight sequins are sticking off the edge of my nail. I guess I have to wait until it dries to trim them down. Maybe I should've stopped at the second coat.
Drying: at least it's drying quickly.
After dried: this topcoat needs a topcoat! The sequins are scratching everything.
The end effects are amazing but I'll update and try it again with a base color to see if it gets even messier.
My analysis: use another topcoat on top of this, use base color under it to make it more dynamic.
The effect without a base color.
Review: Sephora Nail Patch Art in A04 Chinese Blossom
As you know, I am the queen of clearance fishery. One of the items that I've been waiting to go on further sale has been these nails strips that I purchased from Sephora last week (at $5 USD). I've honestly been dying to try them because they looked different from the other ones that I tried before. (Sephora Nail Bling) I bit the bullet and bought them, as I thought curiousity would kill me.
Applying these SUCKED. The instructions weren't even clear so I messed up the first one completely. These are soft, extremely fragile strips of nail polish. Since they're so delicate it was extremely difficult to apply these without breaking them. Also, since the adhesive side wouldn't stick unless the protective layer (which kept the pattern stable) was removed, so it was easy for the strip to fold over, crumble or just mess up in general.
The 'finished product'.

Ridiculous Deal: graphic v-necks
I am a sucker for graphic v-necks but they are so hard to find at an affordable price. The affordable ones are usually super lame but when I went into Target, I knew something had drawn me to the juniors section for a reason. I found not one great shirt but two and a versatile cardigan that I can dress up or down for pretty much every occasion. Since I had a coupon it brought all three shirts down in price. Total receipt of purchase was $18 USD.

OOTD: Casually sneaking graphics into the office.
I decided to wear my reasonably priced v-neck to the office with the new boyfriend cardigan I scored in my last Ridiculous Deal.

Review: Start Getting Naked Ultra Def Complexion Kit
The sample of the BB cream is actual sized to the picture on the box.
After wearing this trio for an 8 hr workday I can see the difference in my skin from when I wear the Naked Skin Foundation alone.
I wish I could say that the color lasted longer since the BB Cream served as a primer but I feel like it did precisely the opposite. I love that my skin looks more hydrated and a bit tighter but I really love for my makeup to last. I have to find a happy medium.
