Alas, I am a slave to my own vanity. Once described as Classic with a Twist, my obsession with 1960's silouettes & poise consummated with my edgy rock & roll approach to everyday life result in this scorching hot beautiful mess. I'll try anything once, twice if I like it. Welcome to my avid love affair with what I most admire, the items in my closet & the treasures on my vanity.

Rings & Things: Midi Rings
I have to admit that when they first appeared on the scene, I thought that midi rings were a stupid idea. I now eat my words. Besides the fact that Ive been getting really into rings lately, I just enjoy how sassy they are. I can't wait to stack them & combine them with real rings. Bonus: they double as pinky rings! OOTD: My favorite tank
I have this one tank that reads "Rules Were Never Meant to be Broken" that is very special to me. First, because of my faith- it encompasses what my Walk is about. Second, I cut down a maxi dress to make this top. I honestly wish I could wear it more. So I wore it to church on Sunday with my favorite jeans, a ripped number from Hollister. Black & gold are my favorite combo so this may just be my favorite outfit.

Rings & Things: Charlotte Russe
As of late I've been getting really into rings. I've never liked them before due to the inconvenient nature of having to remove them whenever you wash your hands. Plus, I'm that one person that leaves free rings for all as I'm infamous for taking them off to soap and rinse- only to leave them behind.
Charlotte Russe finds.
Since Charlotte Russe is realizing that the way to make money off anything is fair pricing, I wholeheartedly appreciated the luxury of 2 for 10$. I got lots of jewelry- mostly gold since I nearly never buy anything gold.
I got several that I, for obvious reasons, think they're awesome.
These rings were one size fits all so that naturally meant they will be thumb rings for the rest of their days.)
One was a cross ring (though I usually despise rhinestones on costume jewelry- for the cheapening effect- I actually like the way they create the illusion of the cross.)

The other simply says "love" and given the tattoo I'm getting, love is truly on the brain more often than not.
I scored a three pack of midi rings
I'll definitely be experimenting with these a lot.

OOTD: Good girl v. Bad bitch
Vamped up pinup girl with a razor sharp edge. More of that, please. I love wearing things just for the sake of being outrageously pretty & ridiculously vain. How's that for a modest opening? I love days when I bring a polished look to the outfit of a bad girl. This fusion is one of my favorites. Bad bitch elements include faux gauge nail earrings (hot topic), tease me w kisses tee (plato's closet), skintight stovepipe jeans (pac sun) & sky high pumps with metal detailing (charlotte russe). Classic elements are the red lipstick suitable for a '50s housewife (infallible), ponytail with pinned bangs & cardigan (target). Love this look.

OOTD: All I need is my biker bitch jacket.
First of all, let me start by saying these are the shoes from hell.
If you recall watching poor Cinderella's stepsisters fit on the glass slipper in the Disney version of this classic, you'll remember one's foot being too long as the other one's foot was far too wide to fit the opportunistic shoe. I am the former when it comes to these.
Women in general will push it to the limit for beauty, hence the phrase, here meaning literally, "beauty is pain". Being 1/2 a size too small- my regular 6's must bend their will to these 5.5 sized Charlotte Russe pumps. Having said that, they are hot as hell & I literally walk on coals to look amazing in these shoes.
My top is manufactured by a company named Blac Label... they make the most amazing tanks that I have ever come across. They are far more classy than Ed Hardy's as these use heavy duty material, grommets, & the designs are far more tattoo-inspired, as to the fact that they are depicted as body art. Throwing a leather over this shirt tends to scream "I own a Harley Davidson, bitch!"
The pants were acquired from Hot Topic on clearance, the time when I take the store for all it's worth. I've gotten such good deals from that store that I almost feel bad when at the register. Key word- ALMOST.
Last but not least, I'm pretty sure the finishing touch involved the presence of a studded two-tier watch from Target, that they practically gave away at a low 6$ plus tax.
I love this look as it is definetly one of my favorites. Hell, everything I've ever gotten from Blac Label is.

OOTD: Converse does more than casual.
As you know, I am usually incredibly pleased with Target and what they have to offer as far as clothing selection goes. Mossimo usually hits the nail on the head & is a respectable store brand- respectable meaning I would wear 90% of the things they put on the market. Another thing that enthralls me about their juniors section is the international design section- a two rack wonder that has somewhat affordable articles. This usually includes a couple of tops, a selection between either a skirt, shorts, or pants & at least one dress. This is not the case with my sweater though. Target also houses other brands on a regular basis, Converse being one of them. And to my surprise, they make more than just sneakers. I have a Target card so while shopping one day, I figured I would go into the office that afternoon & was tired of buying a new top every single time I went in on my day off. My Miami uniform of a tank top & jeans doesn't cut it when you work in a corporate office. The solution to my weekly problem was clear- purchase something that I could throw over a tank to make it office appropriate so that I can work whenever I please.
I found this. While it wasn't in my ideal budget, I figured what the hell, I have a Target card & I'm glad I went with that instinct. I have gotten a LOT of compliments on it & I love wearing it too. It's as comfy as it is gorgeous.

OOTD: Planning for a night on the town
I work until 12 midnight on Saturday & Sunday evenings, so if I am going to go clubbing, I wear the outfit to my job. This particular day I decided to swing by my apt & do my makeup there. I finished & sat down on the couch to watch a little TV while I waited for my friend to let me know she was ready. I closed my eyes & when I opened them it was 5:30am (fml). Anyway, I photogged my efforts.

I don't even remember. One of the many pairs of black tights.

OOTD: When leather meets pumps
Is there a reason that I look like a biker bitch in this picture? Like don't get me wrong, I absolutely love looking like a badass and this outfit screams it.
And the weekend before, I was in Orlando freezing my ass off. 45-55 degree weather can be brutal for a Miami girl especially if your sister is being a bitch and takes the only warm jacket that you brought because it happens to belong to her. It worked out because I ran into Ross at 8:45 & walked out with this bomber jacket at 9:10. It has turned out to be the perfect missing part of my wardrobe. I've put it with so many past outfits that now look completely different. Then you throw in those badass heels & its the perfect recipe.
