Among my research after hearing that M.A.C. is ghastly for your skin (from former employees! & makeup artists)
"I am a makeup artist and HATE MAC. My clients have bad reactions b/c they use talc and cornstarch in their makeup. I thought MAC's was like tar on the lips."
I stumbled across these articles:
Top 13 Worst Foundations
No. 13: mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup, ($10USD)
No. 12: Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Liquid Foundation, ($11.95USD)
No. 11: Maybelline New York Dream Liquid Mousse, ($9.79USD)
No. 10: Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation, ($7.13USD)
No. 9: Benefit Some-Kind-A Gorgeous, ($29USD)
No. 8: Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation, ($12USD)
No. 7: Almay Clear Complexion Liquid Makeup, ($12.49USD)
No. 6: CoverGirl Clean Liquid Makeup Oil Control, ($6.99USD)
No. 5: Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15, ($12.99USD)
No. 4: CoverGirl and Olay Simply Ageless Foundation, ($13.99USD)
No. 3: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers, ($10.99USD)
No. 2: Physicians Formula CoverToxTen50 Wrinkle Therapy Foundation, ($12.95USD)
No. 1: Maybelline New York SuperStay 24-Hour Makeup, ($10.99USD)
I'm not surprised that these made the list. I hate to sound like a prestige brand snob but most of these are sold in your local drugstore. Sometimes it's worth paying more money to have a better product. For those of you drugstore princesses, let this be a word of friendly advice for you. Rommel, CoverGirl & Physician's Formula may not be your best bet when it come to foundation. They were all on the list more than once!
Top 7 Worst Powders
No. 7: L'Oreal Paris True Match Naturale Soft-Focus Mineral Finish, $15.25
No. 6: E.L.F. Mineral Foundation, $5
No. 5: CoverGirl TRUBlend Minerals Loose Powder, $7.79
No. 4: Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder, $22
No. 3: Raw Natural Beauty Active Mineral Foundation, $30
No. 2: Laura Mercier Mineral Finishing Powder, $32
No. 1: L'Oreal Paris Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral Foundation, $15.25
Laura Mercier made the list not once but twice! That's the last thing I expected to see. A lot if people referred to is as over-priced.
