OOTD: Lounge Attire.

Since my friend's birthday falls on this weekend, she rounded up the troops so that we could partake in a night of dancing and drinks at her favorite lounge in Miami Beach. The lucky thing about Miami is when everyone else is pulling on sweaters because October temperature drop significantly, I'm out on a Saturday night trying not to sweat to death in jeans.

Urban Decay Vice 2 strikes again on eyelids. Lips are done up in Sephora lipcolor.
Top ($14, Jessica Simpson @ Macy's), Pants, ($24, XOXO @ Macy's)

OOTD: Jacquard Pants

As every other time that I've purchased a next article of clothing, I get so excited to wear it that I make plans to wear it the next day- this time being no exception.

Wore this to church (yes, mine is super progressive- no sinner sweater necessary) and was pretty comfortable overall.

Vest ($7, Forever XXI), Pants ($24, XOXO @ Macy's), Wedges ($17, Aldo)
Barrette ($2.50, Icing), Necklace ($4.50, 5•7•9), Lipgloss ($7, Maybelline Colorshow)

iWant: My white rabbit

High heeled combat boots are my white rabbit. I have been looking for the perfect affordable pair & alas, come up void.

Here are some close contenders:

Zigi Soho "Pearl"
($139, Bakers),
($129 USD, DSW)

ZigiGirl "Vastly"
($ 199 USD, Bakers)

These actually fit best out of all the ones I tried on.
They were just too expensive to buy.

ZigiGirl "Coraline"
($99 USD, Bakers)

ZigiSoho"Kourtlan"
($69 USD, DSW)
($69 USD, Bakers)

These looked really... Non leather when I put them on. Reminded me of Traffic shoes.

ZigiGirl "Vindicate"
My new favorite. These are so badass but a little high for normal Miami wear. I love that these boots don't show how skinny my ankles are.

Ridiculous Deal: Garage Sale

There's a store in my local mall that I've never had the urge to go into until today. I literally pass it once a week while grabbing smoothies with a coworker. Besides the fact that the entire store is completely concealed, their display is never attention grabbing. Until today.

Garage. Apparently it's been in my mall for three years. I purchased a couple of things because let's be honest, who can truly pass up a great sale.

Cross earrings. Because you know that totally my thing. This is perfect for me. Not only is it gunsilver with an oxidized silver feel to it (my metal of choice), it's also had chains & crosses on it. Win, win.
Cross earrings. I don't wear heavy hanging earrings- partially to the fear of aging and the idea that I'll end up with a slit for an earhole at 50. I've been looking for pair of large hanging crosses that won't give me the ear lobes of Elizabeth Taylor and found them in this gold pair. Getting them at BOGO 50 off definetly pushed the sale.

Sheer button-down racer back. Miami is the place to remove sleeves from all articles of clothing, simply because we can. I felt quite fortunate to find this top in a color I adore with a price that made it ridiculous to leave behind: a grand total of $3.68.

Cross racer back tank. Simply enough to wear with pretty much everything. $1.38

Lace shorts. These are SO going to be used for layering. $1.38

OOTD: Sheer Tank

Was looking for a way to incorporate this sheer chiffon top that I scored from Garage to my work Wardrobe and this was the first attempt.

Shirt ($3, Garage), Cardigan ($16, Mossimo @ Target), Cross Necklace ($4.50, Forever XXI), Jeans ($20, Guess @ Plato's Closet), Wedges ($52, Aldo)

OOTD: Sheer Fishtail

Bought this shirt from Cotton On for $5 and finally found a way to wear it to the office.

Made use of the Vice 2 (Urban Decay) on eyes.

Holiday Kits: Brush Set now available from SmashBox

Wondervision Holiday Brush Set

This set is now available. I just received the email from SmashBox. I'll be going to Ulta in a few minutes to look at it.

So when I went in Ulta didn't have it 😭. I'll update later when I finally see it.

DSW celebrates National Shoe Lover Day

This Saturday I'm lining up at my local DSW in order to score whatever freebies are in store. My strategy is to go to a freestanding DSW store (not one in a mall) so that I can line up in front of the actual door.

Update: I think a purchase is involved. Slippery bastards.

OOTD: Trip Home

For the trip home I figured that yoga pants would be rather appropriate but didn't want to go too bummy. So I opted for yoga capris.

I've always felt banned from the whole bandeau movement- due to the size of my jugs- but when Body Central handed me two free ones with my purchase I figured what the hell, why not see what all the fuss is about. The $4.00 shirt that I wore them with wasn't half bad. It was a large but with shirts like that I really don't think it matters what size the over shirt is.

Top (Body Central, $4.00), bandeau ($4.00), capris (Target, $14.00), flats (not shown, Melissa+Campana, $80.00)

OOTD: Disney park attire

Who says I can't go into Disney with something that is so cute despite its comfort? Here's what I wore on vacation over the weekend.

Top (Express, $30), Shorts (Ross), Flats (Melissa+Campana, $80), Weekender Bag (Michael Kors, $235)

Update: Halloween 2013

I'm having some second thoughts about dressing as Uhura as I just tried on the dress this afternoon. Here's some detail about how the actual dress is constructed. (If I am crazy enough to try and sew this in the next two weeks)

Here's how the dress fit. Deplorable. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

In other news, I bought a whip from that Halloween store where I fit the dress. The ringleader outfit probably still fits and I'm pretty sure I secured it at one point. If not, I can always wear the corset with my hot pink Express shirt under it and bring the whip, hat & boots to sell it.

Another option (if I win the lotto) is Storm from X-Men. So iconic.

iWant: Steve Madden After Dark pumps.

While browsing in The Bloomingdale's Outlet a couple of days ago, I came across this wonderful pair of pumps in two variations. It's too bad they're $80 USD & I'm cheap as dirt. They're versatile enough to wear with dresses or jeans.
